oh, this is magnificent! A pleasure to read, and a pleasure to know your whole family!
Thank you so much, Patty! Your responses mean more than I can say! Much love!
Thank you, Susie! We are so lucky to have our moms with us, both at 95 and still very vibrant!
Indeed we are! Phenomenal are they both!
Wonderful guidance for us all. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Valerie.
It’s an honor to know this magnificent woman.
Mutual, dear Judy. Lots of love from us both.
What a wonderful gift you’ve given us and your mom. Bravo to both of you.
Thanks so much, Steve! It was a gift for me to be able to collaborate with her on it. All my best!
Beth and would like to visit you gals. Would that be ok? We’re away 8/8-25 but have flexibility otherwise. Thx

Thanks so much, dear Meem! As you know, it went through numerous iterations, additions, deletions, consolidations and considerations – including the helpful notes you forwarded me last weekend. It was great to see you then. Hope things have been going smoothly since. Lots of love –s.
I loved this piece. I: 1) wished I was Jewish to have learned such wisdom 2) cried for my own mother who spent her last years feeling un-useful, angry, sad and lonely. 3) resolve to grow up to be more like your Mom and you.
Love, KathyO

Kathy: 1) I love you, and so does the mom. 2) I want to grow up to be like YOU, because 3) You’re a mensch! YOU! 4) Mwah!
Oh my. This is beautiful. Her words, your art. Treasure to share!
Thanks so much, Lisa! Working on it was an honor and a pleasure.
I can hear her voice as I read it…What a wonderful person she is!!!
Thank you, Anastasia! And I agree! She is!
Susie, how wonderful and true! My mother-in-law left us last year at 98, and everything you say was true for her. It’s a gift to have these spirits around us; thank you for articulating it so beautifully.
Thanks so much, Carolyn. In addition to good fortune, genetic and otherwise, I think that a loving, open and resilient spirit is the key – at all phases of life!
This is so beautiful, Susie! WOW! You & your amazingly inspirational mom are quite a dynamic duo! Thank you so much to you both for sharing your gifts & insights. 1% 😳
Thanks so much, Cricket! The pleasure is all ours! I loved working with her on this – it has more meaning than I can express to have been able to put this together in collaboration with her. And I agree – she is inspiring! Lucky are we!
Love this post. My Dad lived til almost 95 and shared much of your philosophy, Barbara. I recall his excitement the spring of his last year when a mother robin graced his life by nesting near the window where he could watch the baby robins hatch, grow, and eventually fly away. As a nature lover he embraced all of those life gifts…as you do! Thanks for sharing.
