This is so funny and brilliant! I love the words and the pictures – I love it as much as Downtown Abbey!
love this susie,
i am watching two other great series, from library.
“A Place to Call Home” Australian
“Borgen” Danish political.
Both have several seasons and excellent characters, esp the first one.
Love and Happy New Year to you both!
elsa
Thanks so much, Elsa! Those sound good! Happy New Year to you, too. Love, s.
Oh, Patty! Thank you! Going over it just after I put it up, Mom & I were both convulsed in giggles at the thought that people might well read it and conclude that we’re 2 demented old ladies (“I don’t remember this!”) eating sandwiches for supper. SO relieved you liked it! I must give you a hug!
No spoiler alerts you two… We have not found the new episode here, but just watched a
re-run to fulfill our Downton Abby fix!!!! Always enjoy your spin on things…cheers to you and Baba!!
Thanks, Barb! Have you tried pbs.org? Cheers for the new year to you & Mr. Steve!
I love your posts, and I’m so jealous that you’re currently watching Downton Abbey….the final season doesn’t start here in Australia until later in the year ;-(
Elsa is right about “A Place To Call Home”. It’s a wonderful Australian series, set just after the second world war. I think you and your mom will enjoy it.
Great blog, Miss Susie….keep going!
Love, Karen
Thanks so much, Karen! So good to hear from you – and we’ll definitely check “A Place to Call Home” – with that title plus your recommendations, how can I resist?
Hi, Susie! I really enjoy your words and pictures. The pictures make the words come alive, and the words complement the pictures. Lots of fun!
plus you make great drawings…I love Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. You really capture them!
Thank you!
Thanks so much, Debbie! That means a lot!
Emily and I did nearly the exact same thing with our neighbor! (minus the pesto sandwiches)
Cool! Plus you’ll get another chance to add the pesto on Sunday. Bon apetit!
I had the exact same experience with the final episode “refresher”! I was alarmed that I remembered nothing as it rolled along until finally I realized — I really had NOT seen it at all!
Like your blog! My cousin pointed me to it!!
Phew! It’s a relief to know we’re not alone! So glad you like it! More to come…
